The wife of Executive Governor of Abia state,Mrs Priscilla Chidinma Otti has stressed the need to shower our children love, kindness, generosity beyond Christmas celebration but at all times.
Abia First lady,Mrs Priscilla Chidinma Otti gave this charge Wednesday during Abia Children’s party at Umuahia while noting the imperative of showering love, kindness, and generosity beyond Christmas seasons.
According to the wife of Executive Governor of Abia state “Let’s continue to create unforgettable memories for these little ones; even beyond Christmas. Let’s show them love, kindness, and generosity.
To this end,she goes biblical, adding that as we show them love, kindness and generosity,reminded parents, caregivers and guardians to let’s remember the words of Jesus: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
“As a mother, I’m overwhelmed with joy to be speaking to the incredible children of Abia State. I’m also honoured to be part of this celebration, witnessing your energy, smiles, and laughter.”
Continuing,Mrs Otti noted that “Today, we have gathered to promote inclusivity, spread love, kindness, and joy to the little angels of our state. We are reminded of the true meaning of Christmas – love, hope, and giving.”
These young hearts bring so much joy, hope, and promise for our future. As we shower them with gifts, treats, and fun this season, let’s remember the values that shape their lives: love, kindness, and compassion.
“As mothers, caregivers, and role models, we have the power to shape the next generation. Let’s nurture their curiosity, inspire their dreams, and teach them the importance of kindness, empathy, and service to others.”
In Abia State, the government remains committed to creating opportunities for our children to thrive, investing heavily in education, healthcare, and programs that promote their well-being and development.
But we know it’s not just about infrastructure; it’s about building character, instilling values, and creating a supportive environment where they can grow and flourish. The just concluded Abia Leadership Academy achieved something remarkable, equipping 1,000 young individuals with the skills and values necessary for effective leadership, and instilling in them a strong sense of purpose and responsibility.
To our children, I want to say: you are loved, you are valued, and you are the future leaders of our dear state. Your dreams are valid, and your potential is limitless. Never let anyone dull your sparkle or dim your light. Keep shining, keep dreaming, and always remember that you are capable of achieving greatness.
As we celebrate today, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the sacrifices of our parents, caregivers, and guardians. Your love, care, and dedication shape the lives of these young ones. Thank you for all you do!
