It was a sunny tuesday,a very bright day with the dry season setting in, christmas season’s atmosphere radiating everywhere ,with christian faithful and various communities in Igbo land looking forward to the day and with enthusiasm not minding the current high cost of living in the country.

But alas, on the said day, from Umuoriehie junction by Express Tower,within the Okpu Isingwu in Ohuhu land, people were heading down to Umuda Okpu Isingwu Hall, all beaming with smiles in expectation of good tidings even though not letting anyone know about it,what their mission was at Umuda Okpuala Isingwu.

As permutations over permutations were going on in the minds of people,on getting to the Okpu Isingwu Hall,the people gathered observed some villagers were busy putting in order, to set the hall in the ceremony mood without telling anyone what was in the offing.

But alas,not too long,the true picture started to emerge,with the arrival of three (3)Mini Buses, otherwise refer as “Onyediako Okwulehie Mini buses,two (2)Tricycles ( Keke Napep) and one (1)Motor cycle were all drove into the arena including Eighteen (18)Grinding machines, fourteen (14)Wheel Barrows, numbers of Shovels,hoes etc as jubilation galore greeted this empowerment scheme.

Speaking during the brief epoch making event,Mr Nnamdi Okezie who represented Ambassador Chinwendu Okezie told the jubiliant beneficiaries that these gestures was out of the magnimity of federal government that provided the empowerment items through Anambra River Basin Development Authority and Kano River Basin Development Authority respectively.

He added that the empowerment items were made possible through the support of two illustrious sons of Umuda Okpu Isingwu Ohuhu,Hon Ambassador Chinwendu Okezie and Hon Onyedi Okwulehie,(the Lord Mayor)playing yeoman’s Job in attracting the scheme to their community.

Hon Ambassador Chinwendu Okezie noted that these empowerment of farmers geared towards promoting their agricultural output tasked the beneficiaries to make good use of items.

He however his people that the empowerment largesse was being distributed batch by batch, adding that those who did not benefit today, tomorrow must surely be their turn.

According to him,” today’s empowerment is from Kano River Basin Development Authority and the contractor is “Miksjust , Ambassador Chinwendu Okezie,an illustrious son of Isingwu community brought these items in concert with Hon Onyedi Okwulehie to be shared to Ndigbo including people from the community.

Speaking during the distribution exercise,Mr Oji Nathaniel Chibuzor,the Secretary General of Odinma Ohuhu organization appreciated the federal government for bringing the empowerment scheme to Ohuhu land noting that it was a good development for their people.

Oji further noted that for the government at the centre to remember Isingwu community through their son while describing the gesture as a positive targeted at reducing the sufferings amongst his Ohuhu people.

He also use the opportunity to commend the founder of Odinma Ohuhu,Hon Onyedi Okwulehie for his humane disposition and tireless efforts in attracting federal government palliatives to their people and that God will bless him .

As for Hon Aguocha Chinaecherem Jerry extolled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for doing the needful providing the empowerment palliatives to their people considering the harsh economic realities of the time in the country.

He added that if Governors, National Assembly and House of Representatives members,State House of Assembly are bringing these dividends of democracy back to the people,things will be a
lot for the poor masses.

He said,there are some insensitive people’s representatives that may go out of their ways to sell these empowerment items meant to cushion effects of sufferings to the less privileged in the society.

Aguocha Chinaecherem Jerry showered praises to the
founder and leader of Odinma Ohuhu, Hon Onyedi Okwulehie and urged him to sustain the tempo of the good things he has been doing, noting that this is the fifth time he has been attracting empowerment items for the people even when he is not yet running for any election at the moment,

To this end,he pointed out that
the masses are watching his good work and taking necessary notes,that at the appropriate time, perhaps in 2027,if he decides to run for any elective position,that they must surely reward him accordingly.

In their separate reactions,some of the beneficiaries such as: Pastor. Ezennaya Akubueze,Umunkaru,Okaiuga Nkwoegwu,,Mr Nnabuihe Onyenweama,Umuda Isingwu,Mrs Ahuruchi Okwulehie,Umuda Okpuala,Mrs Chidinma Ubendu, Afugiri,Umunnemeze,Mr Ikechi Onyegbula Omekara,former youth Chairman,Umuda Okpu Isingwu all appreciated the donors and prayed God to replenish their pockets.

Meanwhile,others who trooped to the venue to witness the distribution exercise but did not benefit expressed delight that they know their turn will come next time while praying for Hon Onyedi Okwulehie and Ambassador Chinwendu Okezie for God to replenish their pockets for the good things they are doing in Ohuhu land.
