The younger brother to Prince Vin Ogbulafor who was the late National Chairman of Peoples Democratic party,PDP,Prince Chidi Ogbulafor has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his magniminity in approving the establishment of the South East Development Commission, SEDC
He added that by with this single gesture,the president has shown beyond reasonable doubt that he means well for the people of South East region which they ought to be grateful for.
Prince Chidi Ogbulafor made this revelation over the weekend while fielding questions from New Nigerian in Umuahia shortly after his defection to All Progressive Congress, APC.

further noted that the establishment and inauguration of South East Development Commission SEDC Board of Directors; is a great feat worth commending President Tinubu for approving the South East Development Commission SEDC which he described as a win- win situation to the people of the region and that they should be grateful to President Tinubu.
Prince Chidi Ogbulafor who pointed out that his people had struggled in the time past to have this “South East Development Commission” that would address the myriads of problems affecting the people by the previous administrations all to no avail.
To this end,he however expressed delight that South East Development Commission that came into fruition under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president of federal republic of Nigeria, therefore his people of South East region need to applaud by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for showing them commitment amidst hopeless situation by administrations before this one.
On this note,” let me doff my hat for His Excellency, President Bola Ahmede Tinubu for approving the Establishment of South East Development Commission, SEDC,it is on record that his administration has been releasing more funds from federation account to states,more than other previous administrations before him,and I know he is going to do more for the people of South East,if given the much anticipated support.
Prince Chidi Ogbulafor pointed out that what one thing that gladdens his heart about President Tinubu is that he is something that plays inclusive politics thereby carrying every part of this country along in distribution of common wealth.
The former House of Representatives candidate for Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal constituency under the banner of Action Congress of Nigeria,ACN ,2011 also use the opportunity to commend his friend and brother,the deputy speaker, House of Representatives,Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu on his efforts in championing the establishment of the bill which later was passed into law and assented to by Mr President, adding that this is
worthy of commendation too.
The scion of Ogbulafor political cum Royal dynasty however explained the rationale behind the reason why he recently defected to All Progressive Congress (APC,)in Abia State,stating that having left the country for United States of America and now returned back home, noted that having also sojourned to other political parties in the past,he felt satisfied with the programmes and policies of the ruling party at the centre,hence the decision to join APC in order to contribute his own quota towards adding to the growth and development of the party in Abia in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
According to him,” I came from a political family,our late father was a great politician known the whole of then South East region during his life time, extolled for his tremendous inroads in political arena in early 1960’s and 1970’s and our late elder brother,Prince Vin Ogbulafor followed suit and also contributed his own quota in the political spectrum as former National Chairman and National Secretary of PDP respectively.”
It is therefore incumbent on me to join the murky waters of politics and also contribute my own quota granted that politics runs in the larger Ogbulafor family.
Again,as an experienced politician,was a member of PDP at the formative years,became the Mayor of Umuahia South,ran for AMAC Chairman, Abuja in 2009 before running for federal House in 2011,joined APC at the inception before traveling back to USA assist his family nurtured their children to adolescence,now returned, have joined APC inorder to add political value to the party with my wealth of experiences in politics.
Prince Chidi Ogbulafor,APC chieftain therefore called on the people of South East to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for graciously approving the establishment of South East Development Commission to address myriads of problems besetting the region,he is poised to do more and they will not regret in hearking to his request
