“But if he don’t know what to do to fix the nation’s refineries and reduce the hardship in the land within six months time, let him throw in the towel and hand over to me, if the economy of the country is not turned around under watch in 6 months time,I will certainly present myself for sanctions ” Prince Emeka Okafor said.

The experienced politician who cut his politicial teeth in Anambra state during the administration of Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju pointed out that our leaders know where the problem lies which he said is very glaring, adding that Nigeria is endowed with oil,we are exporting it and buying back as a finished products at very high rate thereby devaluing our naira before dollars and other foreign currencies.

He added if the railway lines are functioning, the transportation cost from Northerners bringing goods to the Southern part of the country will be reduced and the goods will be cheaper, but regretted that Nigerians are the cause of their own problems through policies that are not masses friendly.

The PDP chieftain asked what will cost Nigeria to maintain existing refineries stating that if Aliko Dangote,a private investor can put up a massive modular refinery in few months time, why is it taken the country over 24 years to refix our refineries.

The outspoken politician, Prince Emeka Okafor noted with regret that mortuary is today a very lucrative business in the country because people are dying in numbers owing to current economic realities in the land while calling on the president to refix the country’s refineries in order to reduce attendant adverse effects of removal of fuel subsidy.
