Community leaders laud Gov Otti on appointments of illustrious sons in his cabinet.

The leaders of Ubakala clan in Umuahia South local Government areas of Abia State have lauded Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti for appointing their two illustrious sons from Umuogo into key positions in his cabinet .

The leaders of thought made their commendation known Sunday evening at Umuogo Ubakala during a civic reception held in honour of her two prominent sons of Umuogo Ubakala clan ,Hon Kingsley Ndidi Anosike, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning and Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah, retrd ,the Special Adviser to the Governor on security matters/ Secretary
Abia State Security Advisory Council respectively.

Speaking during the civic reception held in their honour , the Pioneer
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party, Abia State chapter,Chief Tony Ukasanya extolled Governor Alex Otti for appointing Anosike and Ubah into key positions of trust in his cabinet.

The respected elder statesman added that Gov Otti has been very generous with the appointments of their two sons and other sons and daughters, noting that before the year runs out, Ubakala people will roll out the drums to thank Abia governor .

On his part. Elder Emmanuel Okpechi,the immediate past President General of Umuogo autonomous association, Ubakala described Dr Alex Otti as God sent Governor who arrived at a time Abians needed him most to restore the hope of the citizenry.

The retired chattered Accountant further noted that Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah retrd and Hon Kingsley Ndidi Anosike are great assets of the community, however tasked them to shun corruption and work with diligent in order to prove their mettles to impress on Gov Alex Otti who appointed them into his government.

In his remark, Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti represented by his Special Adviser on Trade and Commerce,Hon Nwaka inem thanked the community for honouring their two sons serving in his government.

Otti noted that it is the intention of his government to extend dividends of democracy to every part of the state adding that they should protect the government facilities in their domains.

Also contributing, Architect Ukeje Uche ,the Director General,Greater Aba Development Authority said that it was necessary that Umuogo community thought it wise to honour their two sons who have contributed meaningfully to the community’s development, adding that this will clear the doubts about the so- called online politicians that are never get known in their autonomous communities but outside.

“As for Anosike and Ubah,their people are not celebrating because Gov Alex Otti appointed them but because they have both distinguished themselves in contributing to community developments using their wealth to touch the lives of their people positively.

Uche therefore charged the two senior aides of the governor to endeavour to raised more talented young people in their Umuogo in the government who will in turn continue to represent the community when they are out of government.

Earlier, the President General of Umuogo Autonomous community, Ubakala,Engr Austin Uchenna Stephen thanked Gov Alex Otti for finding two of their illustrious sons worthy sons,Hon Kingsley Ndidi Anosike, Commissioner, Budget and Planning and Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah, Security Adviser to the Governor and Secretary,Abia State Security Advisory Council to serve in his cabinet in order to move the state to an enviable heights.

The PG of Umuogo who assured the Governor of an unalloyed loyalty and commitments for this wonderful decision of choosing their brothers to work with him when there are other qualified persons assuring him that Otti will not be disappointed because they are men with proven integrity.

Engr Austin Uchenna Stephen,Umuogo President General ,said that like Oliver Twist,the community is pleading for more appointments to their sons and daughters in addition to improvement of the deplorable condition of their roads .

In their speeches ,Hon Kingsley Ndidi Anosike and Macdonald Ubah thanked their people for organizing the civic reception to honour them and promised not to disappoint them in his new position.

Speaking during the occasion,the Commissioner for Budget and Planning,Hon Kingsley Ndidi Anosike said within one year in office that Gov Otti has demonstrated good governance through quality leadership as exemplified on massive infrastructural developments across the state.

Whereas,Navy Commander Macdonald Ubah, Security Adviser to Abia State Governor, described their appointments as an honour to the people of Umuogo community.

He recalled how in 2014 during electioneering campaigns,he called on their people to vote for Dr Alex Otti of then All Progressive Grand Alliance, Apga and that if they vote for him,that he will rebuild their health centre, however expressed delight that Otti won in their two pooling units and that he fulfilled his promises.

The Security Adviser to Governor Otti called on his people to continue to pray for Abia Governor to remained focus on the good work he is doing in the state and not be discouraged by the antics of the opposition elements in the State.
